The Scheme is designed to suit most circumstances for you and your family to use, whether you do any business mileage or not for your job you can still apply for a car through the Scheme. The only situations where you can’t salary exchange a car, is if you’re self-employed, or a temporary contractor.

Apart from the above you will be eligible to participate in the Scheme if you meet the following criteria:

  • you are an employee of with a regular pattern of work with a contract that extends for the duration of the contract term under the Scheme
  • you have been a permanent employee for 6 months and successfully completed your probationary period
  • you have an hourly pay rate above the National Minimum Wage (“NMW”) after all salary sacrifice and any other reductions have been made to your notional salary
  • all drivers must have held a full driving licence for 12 months that permits them to drive legally in the UK
  • No more than two category 'A' convictions disclosed and no more than one fault claim disclosed in the last 3 years. Claims or convictions over 3 years old from the car delivery date are acceptable
  • you are between 18 and 75 years of age (anyone over 75 will need to contact CSE for a quotation)
  • you are not currently subject to any form of disciplinary action, under a performance improvement plan or under consultation
  • neither you nor your employer has served notice to terminate your employment
